FORUM IRCAM-WOCMAT Taiwan 2016
In partnership with universities of Taiwan and with help of Institut Français and Ministry of Science and Technology of Taiwan.

This event is intended for artists, scientists, developers, professionals in the sound industry, and students who are interested in innovative technologies in sound and music computing.
We invite therefore all Forum members join us to present their works and developments and meet the computer music software community from Asia and elsewhere.
The Forum IRCAM Team will be at your disposal for questions, support and new technologies discussions and projects.
About WOCMAT: International Workshop on Computer Music and Audio Technology 2016 (WOCMAT 2016) welcomes music and paper submissions which correspond to the computer music or audio technology related subjects. WOCMAT, established in 2005 at National Taiwan University, has been hosted annually by music, computer science or engineering departments/schools at various universities in Taiwan, and has gathered international researchers, scholars and renowned guests from both the music and technology domains.
- General presentation of IRCAM technologies, expertises and research
- Demos of software and technologies developed at IRCAM (Max libraries, OpenMusic, AudioSculpt,…)
- Music and Technology in a Rapidly Changing Environment: Are We Ahead of the Game or Just Keeping Up?
- Macrostructural Aspects of Algorithmic Composition: Using Schenkerian Concepts to Shape Sections of a Composition and to Construct Larger Compositions
Lectures will be given by prominent guest speakers including Professor Leigh Landy, Director of the Music,Technology and Innovation Research Centre at De Montfort University and Professor Ken Paoli from DuPape College.
We will also have the pleasure to have as other important speakers Pavlos Antoniadis, pianist for contemporary and experimental music and a doctoral researcher at Ircam and LabEx GREAM:
